A culmination of of regional talent, Night Fall features music, dance, spoken word, costume, and giant puppets intertwined in a professional theatrical production held in a different Hartford park each year. With a new script each year and appearances by old and new favorite characters, Night Fall explores the mysteries of seasonal transition and change. The event's climax is a procession of lanterns, symbolizing the end of fall and welcoming the winter season soon to come. Night Fall is a festival of theater, paegentry, movement, and music, as well as a uniquely Hartford celebration of nature, shared history, and most importantly, community.

In the weeks leading up to Night Fall, free art workshops will be held across the city of Hartford. Night Fall artists work with residents in their neighborhoods to design and create lanterns for the performance's signature procession.
