Library Edition! All my activity picks are happening at libraries this week. They are all FREE! I have chosen to highlight libraries this week because many people, including myself, tend to overlook all of the delights libraries have to offer. Libraries all over the state are offering free programs every week. Many of the programs offered are for younger children, but there are a bunch of activities for older children and teens as well.
Fairfield County
Activity: Lego Architects Club
Date: 9/29

Location: Fairfield Woods Branch Library

Overview: "Do you love designing with Lego bricks? Are you inspired by tall buildings, fancy cars, or animals? Put your imagination to work and join us for a fun-filled afternoon. For children in grades K-5. Parent or caregiver must remain in the Library during the program.Drop-in program."

Activity: Pirate Invasion at the Library!

Overview: "Stop by the Mystic & Noank Library October 1st for an all-day pirate-themed craft day in the Children’s Room. The Wii U Gaming Club will meet at 11:00 a.m. in the Activity Room to explore LEGO© Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game." From 3:30-5:30, there will also be a petting zoo on the library's lawn.
