If you are looking for the perfect photo of your child with Santa, this weekend will provide you with ample opportunity! I have not included the many stores offering photos with Santa, but my top pick would be any of the Stew Leonard's locations.  Have a great weekend! 


Fairfield County
Activity: New Canaan Holiday Stroll
Date: 12/2 & 12/3
Time: Fri. 5PM-9PM, Sat. 10AM-4PM

Overview: "The annual Holiday Stroll has become a family favorite for New Canaan residents and those of our neighboring towns. Downtown New Canaan transforms into something out of a Dickens’s story book. Friday night kicks off with the arrival of Santa Claus, a lighting of the trees, carol singing, live entertainment while the stores stay open late and offer refreshments and holiday cheer.
Saturday includes pictures with Santa at Santa’s workshop, characters roaming the streets, more live entertainment, a Gingerbread House Tour and much more."

Activity: Elizabeth Wolff Art Reception for Children
Date: 12/4

Location: The Oliver Wolcott Library, 160 South Street, Litchfield

Overview: "Join us for a special reception specifically designed for children!
At the reception, Elizabeth will talk about how she became an artist, what inspires her, and why she loves to illustrate children’s books. She will also provide a demonstration of how she begins a piece of art.
During this special reception, Elizabeth will have inexpensive cards and prints for purchase ranging from 50 cents to $5.00.
She will also have a special table where she will hand-draw an illustration for a child that will fit into a pop-in frame, ranging in price from $10 to $15." Registrattion required.

Activity: Santa Visits and Holiday Festival

Overview: "Madison’s Annual Santa visits and Holiday Celebration will take place on Sunday, December 4th. Santa arrives downtown on a horse-drawn wagon at 2pm at the Cafe Allegre. Santa will then be available for children’s visits from 2:00 to 4:00pm on the porch of the Cafe Allegre. Live caroling by DHHS Encore, free cocoa, free hayrides, storytelling and more. After the festivities, please be sure to attend the ABC Annual Holiday Concert at the First Congregational Church on the Green at 4:30."

Activity: Sea Tea Improv's Family Comedy Show!

Overview: "An awesome evening of all-ages comedy for kids, teens, and adults with Hartford's professional comedy troupe, Sea Tea Improv Touring Company!Our improv comedy show is interactive, with chances for kids and adults alike to shout out suggestions and even opportunities to volunteer to play some improv games with us on stage! The comedy is all-ages -- kids and adults will have a lot to laugh about.
